Nestori Syrjälä (b. 1983) works with sculpture, installation and video. For the past seven
years he has been obsessed with the crisis in human relations with the environment: the
ground under our feet, the air we breathe and the oceans that surround are all turning
strange. It is the Anthropocene; the more we know the stranger things appear. He has
studied in Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki and Royal Institute of Art in
Stockholm, Sweden.
